Blues assistant coaching role to be advertised

The New Zealand Rugby Union and Blues confirmed today that the Blues Assistant Coach role will be advertised.

The decision to advertise the role was taken by the NZRU on the recommendation of the coaching Review Panel that has conducted its 2010 season review of Blues Head Coach Pat Lam and Assistant Coach Shane Howarth.

Shane is eligible to re-apply for the Assistant Coach position.

The Review Panel consisted of NZRU Board Member Graham Mourie, NZRU High Performance Coach Development Manager Mike Chu, Blues Chairman Greg Muir, Blues CEO Andy Dalton, and Blues directors Grant Fox and Gary Whetton.

The coaching position will be advertised from Sunday 11 July.
